I spent my previous weekend on CASFUMAL – Career Summit for Future Malaysian Leaders which organized by UTP at Pan Pacific KLIA Hotel. The whole program were conducting in English. Besides of getting knowledge about career through leadership, all of the LEADER also have an opportunities to build up their confidence to improve their English in communication. I’m being so lucky to be the selected one to participate in this beneficial program as UTM’s delegates. If in IPT we’re exposed to the LEADERSHIP as a student, but in CASFUMAL we learn how to be a good leader in a work place.

Mrs. Shidah Ahmad from Agilent Technologies who is responsible for the first talk explain about the KEY INGREDIENTS. It needs *Continuous Learning, *Perseverance, *Communication,*Diversity,*Courage and *Innovation. While for the next session, speaker from SCOMI Group, Ms. Ruswati was talk about GLOBAL LEADERSHIP-Globally Competitive, Globally Recognized and Globally Brand.

For the dinner ceremony, university delegates were sat separatedly at different numbers of table and the speaker for that night should be Mr. Tony Fernandes, CEO from AirAsia, but he can’t make it and was replaced by Mr. Azrai Othman. Talking about the achievement of AirAsia, up side down of their company,services and so on were quite inspire. I’m also quite shocked when I’ve met da twin of Daus UTHM from UTP, the same look, style and share the same name. God, such a coincidence! Hehe, sori Daus if u’re reading diz, I exposed the mystery I found~ =P. The session were quite hot when students leader keep asking about the ticket cost, good service and etc especially involving the student’s welfare.. Poor Mr. Azrai but luckily he can answered all the question slumberly..hehe (^,^)

The next morning, opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Higher Education, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khalid Nordin as officiator before proceed with the next session with the Country President of Motorola, Executive Chairman of Nadicorp, Mr. John Chang and finally Manager director of Sarawak Shell. Fuhh..8 session finally done at 6.30 pm on 13th July. A lil bit exhausted but we can learn a lot of thing about career through leadership from those excellent people in corporate companies. Hurm..there’s some meaning of Leader in the prospects of career for we to look thru :
• LEADER- to create an environment that will cause others to take actions that will create extra ordinary value to our customers.
• GLOBAL LEADERSHIP – Leaders who have global perspectives that combines the most sophisticated business knowledge with cultural sensitivity and awareness is essentially motivational leadership.
• Leaders speak, others listen!

Bagi saya, kehidupan kita boleh dikatakan akan wujud seorang ketua yang diberi kepercayaan untuk menjalankan tanggungjawabnya.

Memberi ketaatan (kepada yang berhak) adalah wajib selama ia tidak termasuk dalam perkara maksiat atau perkara yang boleh membawa maksiat sebagaimana firman Allah yang bermaksud:

"Wahai orang-orang yang beriman, taatlah kamu kepada Allah dan taatlah kamu kepada Rasulullah dan kepada "Ulil-Amri" (orang-orang yang berkuasa) dari kalangan kamu. Kemudian jika kamu berbantah-bantah (berselisihan) dalam sesuatu perkara, maka hendaklah kamu mengembalikannya kepada (Kitab) Allah (Al-Quran) dan (Sunnah) RasulNya jika kamu benar beriman kepada Allah dan hari akhirat. Yang demikian adalah lebih baik (bagi kamu) dan lebih elok pula kesudahannya." (Surah Al-Nisa' 4: ayat 59).
